In partnership with the University of Zürich Blockchain Center, Swissnex and the Swiss Pavilion, Nobel Talks was inaugurated during the World Expo in Osaka and held continuously between May and October 2025. This virtual lecture series is an independent contribution to promoting the Expo’s theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” aiming to solve global challenges through dialogue.
Nobel Talks is the next evolution of our unique Metaverse gaming initiative Nobel Land – an immersive platform where individuals can playfully explore the world of Nobel Prizes and be inspired by the groundbreaking research of 22 Nobel Laureates. At the heart of this virtual space is the opportunity to learn from and engage with the brightest minds of our era. This is why we have initiated the Metaverse lecture series “Nobel Talks – Designing Progress Together”.
The lectures were live-streamed in the virtual auditorium of the University of Zurich and made freely accessible to a global audience via the Metaverse environment of the Osaka World Expo and the Swiss Pavilion.
Nobel Talks creates a new form of scientific exchange in the digital space – open, accessible, and global. Its aim is to inspire young people and experts worldwide to engage with future-oriented questions and to experience science and technology as foundational pillars of societal peace and transformative development. Nobel Talks also significantly supports the mission of the Swiss Pavilion: to enhance the positive visibility and credibility of Switzerland’s education, research, and innovation sector, and to foster connections between Swiss actors and international experts and partners.
